Kitchener Blues Festival
For over 10 years now Kitchener is presenting the Kitchener Blues Festival in the dowtown area. IT IS FREE! The event
will take place every year in early August from THU - SUN. People arrive from all over Ontario and internationally to be at this event.
Don't miss to book your room early. Since we are in walking distance to the event we tend to
fully book the Inn over this time.

Local Theatres and Entertainment
Check out our local theatres and other entertainment. We are in walking distance of the
the Centre in the Square, the Registry Theatre, the Museum (former Children's Museum), and the King Street Theatre Centre.
Other venues in the area include the St. Jacons Country Playhouse and the Kitchener Waterloo Little Theatre.
St. Jacobs Country
St. Jacobs is well known by many and always worth visiting. Trendle in the shops or enjoy a good meal and get to
know Mennonite country. If you travel in the area you might see buggies riding alongside the roads or a horse and plow team
cultivating the lands. The town is open year round.
Oktoberfest is KWs biggest yearly event, starting with the tapping of the keg on the Friday before Canadian
Thanksgiving and ending the following week Saturday.
The Frederick Street Inn is in walking distance to the Willkommen Platz and the Hans Haus.
We are also close to several other Festhallen. Make sure you make your reservations early.
The Kitchener Farmers' Market is in walking distance to the Frederick Street Inn. It offers local produce and is open year round
each Saturday from about 7am to 2pm.
The St. Jacobs Farmers' Market is about 15 minuts away. It also offers local produce from this area, but has in addition small shops and stores
selling their goods. It is also right next to the St. Jacobs Outlet Mall where you can find brand name items for less.
The St. Jacobs Farmers' Market is open all year Thursday and Saturday. In addition it opens its doors on Tuesday during the summer. For more
